They lost their son, Jet at the age of 16, to a fatal seizure less than two years ago. And just last May, their family dogs were killed in a freak accident at a Maine airport while a care giver was walking them.

John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston are expecting a baby boy. The star couple celebrated the baby's arrival gloriously by hosting an extravagant baby shower recently.

A representative of John Travolta confirmed the news that the two are expecting a baby boy; though, rumors were suggesting that Kelly Preston was carrying twins.

It was in May that the couple first announced about the addition expected in their family after coming out from the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre.

In order to welcome their baby boy, the couple threw a baby shower in their Los Angeles home with 40 guests invited including their family and friends with some great food at display. Kelly Preston also received many gifts that the guests made individually for to be born baby boy.

John Travolta, 56, and Kelly Preston, 47, have a ten-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu. The couple lost their 16-year-old son, Jett, tragically in 2009 due to a fatal surgery.

NEW YORK — David Letterman will welcome Barbara Walters back to "The View" when he visits the ABC daytime talk show next month.

ABC said Wednesday that Letterman, host of CBS' "Late Show," will make his first guest appearance on "The View" on Sept. 7. That's the day that co-panelist Walters returns to the air after taking the summer off to recover from open-heart surgery. The show also marks the start of the 14th season of "The View."

Other guests scheduled that week include former Secretary of State Colin Powell and actor Danny DeVito.

Besides Walters, "The View" stars Joy Behar (BAY'-har), Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd.

The episode also marks Barbara Walters' return to regular hosting duties since her recovery from heart surgery and President Barack Obama’s appearance. According to ABC, OnTheRedCarpet.com’s parent company, the show will also feature a "surprise musical number."

Other guests lined up for the premiere week include Gen. Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice and Danny DeVito.

DeVito had an infamous appearance on a November 2006 episode of the show, where he slurred his words and told the hosts, "I knew it was the last seven limoncellos that was going to get me."

The Hollywood actor's ex-wife Diandra Douglas - who is suing the star for a share of his salary from new movie 'Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps' - made the gesture after the actor was diagnosed with throat cancer earlier this month, but the 65-year-old star refused.

A friend of the Hollywood icon told New York Post's page six: "If Diandra really wanted to be sympathetic, she would withdraw this bogus lawsuit."
