Jennifer Garner doesn't dig paparazzi

Jennifer recently talked about the paparazzi attention she, Ben Affleck, and their daughter Violet Affleck seem to get all the time: “I thought we’d have more privacy after we got married. But it doesn’t seem to have calmed down very much. Everyone wants exclusive shots of you in Starbucks.”

She added:

“And there’s a fascination with the children of celebrities, which is the most disturbing thing to me.”

I can see how paprazzi could get VERY annoying and disturbing. I found a video of the paparazzi literally attacking Britney Spears in a gas station. Looked frightening.

Wal-Mart Goes Celebrity

Diane Sawyer, Jeff Gordon, Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Walters, Sandra Bullock and Bill Murray are all "working at Wal-Mart", at least according to the latest crazy Wal-Mart press release. Sounds like a publicity stunt to get even more shoppers to flood the Wal-Mart's across the country.

Well, I haven't seen Elizabeth Taylor at my local Wal-Mart, have you?

Star Trek XI, casting call

Well, sounds like there are plans in the works to make yet another Star Trek movie, Star Trek XI

Fellow bloggers have already been writing about possible casting for Spock, McCoy and Kirk. But my favorite gossip about Star Trek 11 is a rumor about a possible role for Jennifer Garner. TrekMovie reports this:

Paris Hilton's watch gets stolen

A T.S.A. employee at Los Angeles International Airport allegedly took an expensive watch out of Paris Hilton's luggage.  The same thing happened last year with British Airways when an employee took a watch out of one of Paris' bags.  Yikes, lock up them bags!  Of course, with all of the “security” in airports these days, you can’t lock your own bags.  TSA doesn’t sound so secure to me.

Hilary Duff talked about her split from Joel Madden last year and said that the break up inspired some of the songs on her new album ‘Dignity’.  She was particularly upset when Joel hooked up with Nicole Richie very soon after the break-up. Chef John Burton Race ditches his wife

Kim Burton Race , the wife of celebrity chef John Burton Race, said that she felt "betrayed and fragile" after Chef Burton Race left her and their 6 kids for another woman.  Kim said her 49-year-old famous husband, who owns the New Angel restaurant in Dartmouth, Devon, walked out on her after 11 years of marriage.

 

300 is still the top movie

300 kept the #1 spot for the second week in a row this weekend, with $31.2 million in ticket sales.  Wild Hogs was a distant #2 with only $18.8 million.

Pax Thien Jolie heading home soon

The latest member of the Angelina Jolie / Brad Pitt family is almost ready to head home to the United States.  Angelina is completing paperwork for Pax this week. Once the final papers are approved, Angelina will be free to take Pax home to the growing family of Jolie-Pitts.

 

The adoption agency says that Angelina is not paying abnormal fees to complete the process. But Angelina is still being very generous.  She is donating lots of toys to the orphanage once she leaves town.

Bodyguard reveals more information about Anna Nicole's Death

Sources say that Anna Nicole Smith's bodyguard told cops that Anna Nicole Smith was on "heavy doses" of prescription drugs the day pf her death, including flu medicine and antibiotics. He said that in the months leading up to Anna's death, Howard K. Stern gave her "some types of drugs." He said, "Anna was in a cloud."

No word yet on the types of drugs that Howard K. Stern was giving Anna Nicole.

This will surely spark additional investigation and media attention.

Nigel Lythgoe defends American Idol from Rosie O'Donnell

Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer of the TV show "American Idol", issued a statement in response to Rosie O'Donnell's criticism of the show. Here is the statement:

"Without wishing to add to the obvious self-promotion of Ms. O'Donnell, I feel as though I must refute her absurd and ridiculous claims that 'American Idol' is racist and/or weightist. Ms. O'Donnell has, once again, spoken without thought or knowledge. Viewers need only look at the show tonight to realize that 'American Idol' constantly confirms to America that talent has nothing to do with weight or color."

Rosie seems to pick fights with all sorts os people. I bet Nigel Lythgoe and Donald trump would have a good time swapping stories over a few cocktails.

Joe Francis, the maker of Girls Gone Wild videos, has offered Antonella Barba a $250,000 contract to appear in a Girls Gone Wild video as a "celebrity host". Awesome. I seriously doubt that she'll accept the offer, but it's still pretty funny.

I was reviewing the traffic stats for my blog and noticed that lots of people were coming to my blog post about Antonella Barba Galleries. I got curious, and looked up some statistics on the Antonella Barba scandal. Here is what I found:

First of all, Google search traffic for the phrase "American Idol" is VERY seasonal. People start searching in the late spring, and curiousity peaks right around the time of year when a winner is crowned. Here is the source and chart:

The website AntonellaBarbaPix.com seemed like the best bell weather for the stroy, so I plugged in that URL to a pagerank prediction tool. Then of course there is the question about the authenticity of the pictures. Is that really Antonella Barba? Weird News reports that David Shutters of the L.A. But then again, lots of bloggers seem convinced that Antonella is a naughty New Jersey girl...

A source at a post-Oscars party claims to have heard Paris Hilton talking with Rick Salomon about their $1 million profit from the official release of 'One Night in Paris', according to the New York Post.

That simple home video was worth a lot more than $1 million to Paris Hilton - the video skyrocketed her into an instant A-list celebrity. She become one of the most searched for names on the Internet, landed reality TV gigs, and is now the hottest invite to every major Fashion Show and celeb party.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs vs. Richard 'Diddy' Dearlove

Looks like the Diddy is under dispute.

Last September Sean "P Diddy" Combs settled out of court with UK musician Richard 'Diddy' Dearlove over using the "Diddy" nickname. The Combs Diddy paid up almost $20,000 and agreed to market himself as 'P Diddy' in the UK. I guess the Dearlove Diddy has been marketing himself as a Diddy since 1992.

Now P Diddy is scheduled to perform in the UK with Snoop Dogg, but the UK courts are telling him that he can't perform certain lyrics (he talks about himself in the third person, if you haven't noticed!)
